Meet LEXI!!! She has the sweetest disposition, almost as sweet as her soft kisses. She is two years old, house trained, walks easy on a leash, she’s good with other dogs, but dislikes cats. Lexi is Heartworm positive and will be spayed soon. No more puppies for this gal! Lexi's History...

Hi, I’m Lexi! I’ve recently moved to a new place called an animal shelter. My old family kept me outside day after day and I really wanted and needed human interaction, so I kept escaping the yard and doing whatever it took to be with people. Last time I escaped, I ran to the park and wanted to play with the kids (I’m used to being around children) but understandably those parents didn’t know how sweet I am, so they called the police department and animal control. Thankfully, the animal control ladies remembered me and called my Dad. Well…. My dad said he was tired of me escaping the back yard and couldn’t keep paying expensive fines, so he owner surrendered me. I’m going to miss my old family, but I’m excited to see where I’m heading next!

I now have a cool bed, lots of toys to play with and people really love me here! I’m always going for walks or lounging in the play yard. I heard the shelter ladies bragging that I never potty in my kennel or in the office! Yes, I really enjoy being in the office and I happily greet everyone who comes in! Also, one of the shelter ladies put me out in the play yard by myself and left me out there for a little while. Little did I know that she was watching me on the video camera to see if I would have anxiety, but I didn’t. I just had a feeling that she would come back for me and not leave me out there alone day after day, after day… and she did come back for me! She found me just sitting there like the good girl that I am!
